We have reserved the Montebello Campground Recreation Building for this event. The recreation building will be used as a “Bunk House” for the first twenty-five (25) to register. Group breakfast Sat & Sun morning provided.
We will be hiking Crabtree Falls on Saturday morning, weather permitting). The Virginia Wine and Garlic Festival is this weekend at the Rebec Vineyards in nearby Amherst, Va., for those who might be interested in this excursion. There are a number of other vineyards and brewries in the area for touring (backup plan for Sat if raining). Horseback riding and fishing are also available. The Festy Experience is at Devils Backbone all weekend, a group of us are planning to attend on Sunday. If you plan to attend Festy or the Garlic Festival, it is best to purchase your tickets in advance through the venue.
INCLUDED:
• Space in the Recreation Building (first 25 to sign-up). Bring blow-up mattress, sleeping bag, cot, blankets, etc. for sleeping. Or camp outside in your tent.
• Shower facilities. (hot water included!!!)
• Friday evening Soup & Chili. BYOB and a dish to share.
• Full Breakfast Saturday & Sunday. Lunch on your own both days.
• Storytelling by the campfire each night.
• Saturday Evening Wine & Cheese. Note: Bring a Bottle of Wine to share with the group. Baked Potatoes & Sweet Potatoes provided.
